Early Childhood Programs

At Lakefront Children’s Academy, we nurture each child’s natural curiosity and creativity through a comprehensive curriculum and a variety of enriching activities. From our youngest learners to our pre-kindergarten graduates, every classroom is a vibrant, engaging space where academic foundations and life skills are planted and allowed to flourish. Our small class sizes and caring teachers guarantee that each child receives the individual attention they deserve.

Jellybeans & Blue Jays (Ages 2–3.5)

Our youngest students are introduced to the joys of learning within a safe, supportive environment. Focused on socialization, sensory exploration, and basic concepts, our activities include:

  • Recognizing shapes, sizes, and colors

  • Beginning letter and number recognition

  • Sensory and manipulative play

  • Creative art projects

  • Music, movement, and yoga for body awareness and relaxation

  • Outdoor play and nature walks

Worker Ants (Ages 3.5–4.5)

Building on their early experiences, Worker Ants enjoy:

  • Expanded focus on independence and self-help skills

  • Letter and number writing

  • Hands-on art using a variety of materials

  • Following multistep directions and working in small groups

  • Daily yoga sessions to support flexibility, focus, and mindfulness

  • Science discovery, storytelling, and interactive games

  • Outdoor activities and physical education

Dolphins – Pre-K & Kindergarten (Ages 4.5–6)

The Dolphin class is a vital stage as children prepare for elementary school and beyond. We see our students as the seeds of the future, carefully nurturing their academic and social growth. Key elements include:

  • Reading development and literacy

  • Addition, subtraction, telling time, counting money/coins

  • Performing science experiments and exploring cultural and social studies

  • Learning sign language for enhanced communication

  • Short, engaging group activities that spark curiosity and cooperation

  • Yoga and mindfulness to encourage emotional regulation and physical health

  • Preparation for formal elementary testing with strong parent-student-teacher collaboration

Summer Camp

Our 9-week Summer Camp, open to children ages 2–8, offers excitement, adventure, and learning all summer long!
